Randstad Engineering is looking for a Sr. Reliability Engineer for a leading manufacturer located in the New Haven/Dover/Harrington, Delaware area.
The Reliability Engineer provides technical expertise and leadership necessary to improve the performance of plant process equipment through the application of appropriate reliability tools such as root cause failure analysis, preventive and predictive maintenance techniques, identification of and resolution of bad actors through analysis of performance data and relevant trends, implementation of procedures, processes and training that promote continuous improvement and through active participation in project development.
Responsibilities for the Reliability Engineer
Identifies opportunities for making reliability improvements.
Identifies critical equipment and develops reliability strategies for this equipment based on FMEA and other tools.
Reviews equipment specs/designs to ensure equipment can meet reliability objectives.
Carries out life cycle cost analyses to determine most cost effective strategy/options.
Develop, review, support, and improve preventative and predictive programs and practices.
Work closely with Engineering and OEM's to design reliability into new equipment.
Requirements for the Reliability Engineer
Preferred BS degree in BSME or equivalent experience
5 years of experience with operations and/ or maintenance of process equipment.
Demonstrated the ability to apply knowledge of system reliability, availability and maintainability to predict and verify equipment performance in the operational environment.
Demonstrated ability to work with cross functional teams.
Solve machinery problems ranging from simple to complex on high speed, high volume machinery.
Ability to work on many projects in a high-speed environment.
Advanced computer skills including MS Office.
