We are the best at what we do!QualificationsWhat do our receptionist do?Answer and respond to incoming telephone calls promptly and in a pleasant, courteous and clear manner; Direct calls to the appropriate partyRepresent the hospital and deliver high quality customer service to visitors in the lobbyProvide and collect registration paperwork and conduct quality checks every 15 minutes for all potential patientsPrepare families for visitation including tagging belongings, verifying identification, screening visitors for contraband, etc.
Demonstrate a strong knowledge for the hospital's emergency code procedures and intercom codes when necessaryImport patient registration data into access AS400 system and verify Medicaid coverage on DMAP.
Provide routine hospital-related information to callers and visitors; forward any requests that require clinical or more detailed information to the appropriate partyCollect and deliver incoming mail, including courier servicesMaintain reception materials to include registration documents, sign in books; make copies as neededManage the reception cash box by performing a reconciliation at beginning and end of shift, selling meal tickets, and documenting cash transactionsProvide clerical support to other departments as neededBenefits for a Receptionist include:
