8K a year Are you looking for a challenge? The City of Dover is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant to the Director of Council Affairs & Constituent Services/Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Coordinator in the City Clerk's Office.
This position serves primarily as the City's Records Management Coordinator and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Officer.
Additional Administrative Assistant duties are assigned.
Job Responsibilities Provide administrative, organizational, and clerical support to the department Interact with other departments, citizens, and City Council to provide information/assistance and resolve issues and complaints Serve as City-wide Records Management Coordinator, City-wide Freedom of Information Officer (FOIA) and Municipal Election Inspector Must be able to attend evening meetings as necessary Required Qualifications High school diploma or a GED One (1) year of college or specialized vocational training in computer operations and business administration Two (2) years of experience as an administrative assistant Must be detail oriented and possess strong organizational, composition, and typing skills Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and follow complex oral and written directions Must be customer/public service oriented, exercise problem solving skills and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, initiative, integrity, and accuracy Preferred Qualifications Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Records Request Management System Experience A criminal background investigation will be required.
