Systems Administrator II

TransCore (TRN), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a full-time Systems Administrator II to join our team in Dover, Delaware.

Summary:
Under the direction of the IT Manager, the Systems Administrator II will be responsible to support Computer Systems Operations for the Delaware E-ZPass Customer Service Center, associated IVR, web and related interfaces and infrastructure.
This position requires a regular weekday schedule with occasional on-call evening, and weekend shifts.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Responds to requests via the helpdesk in the most expedient manner possible.
Receives, configures, and installs requests for personal computers.
Maintains systems related policies and procedures.
Phone system administration.
Provides troubleshooting and repair for advanced network solutions.
Recommends changes in operating procedures, hardware standards, and software standards as warranted by new technological changes and operating conditions.
Evaluates interface between users, hardware and software, and operational and performance requirements of overall desktop system.
Maintains servers, user accounts, file/print permissions as required for both internal and remote users.
Daily system maintenance review, such as systems log, antivirus server logs, etc.
Performs daily backups Provides training and support to less experienced System Administrators.
Provides monitoring and reports of the operational status of LAN/WAN environment.
Interacts with vendors.
Installs and configures equipment.
Recommends the acquisition or new hardware and/or software as needed.
Desired Skills:
Prior experience in the information technology field and network administration including:
Active Directory, DNS, and MS Exchange, Hyper-V, Windows 10 and Server 2012R2 Experience with VEEAM backup software is a plus Functional knowledge of TCP/IP and networking Functional knowledge of hardware connections A+, CompTIA, Microsoft or HDI certification is a plus Education:
Associate's degree (A.
A.
) in computer science, network administration or related field Knowledge:
Uses skills as a seasoned experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
