Insurance Inspector / Field Inspector Dover

We are seeking EXPERIENCED INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS to complete inspections of commercial (90%) and residential (10%) properties in DOVER, DE surrounding areas including TALBOT, CAROLINE, DORCHESTER, WICOMICO, & WORCESTER, MD.
Earnings are commission-based, as each inspection, for each location, is either flat-rated or paid by the hour (determined by the inspection's length and complexity).
For residential inspections, inspectors travel to the insureds' homes, describing their basic construction, measuring and diagramming their perimeters, taking photos, and identifying hazards and safety concerns from an insurance (potential claim) perspective. For commercial inspections, inspectors travel to the insureds' business sites, evaluating hazards and safety concerns. Information is gathered by interviewing the business owner, touring the premises, making measurements of the buildings where required, and identifying hazards and safety concerns. Typical commercial properties involve Main Street Occupancies.
Inspectors must have an insured, reliable vehicle, access to high-speed Internet, and a digital camera.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
