Position SummaryHandle varying degrees of complex work assignments efficiently and must be familiar with the use of most hand tools and precision measuring devices. Expected to do some degree of low pressure welding, soldering, pipe fitting, sheet metal fabrication and some low complexity repairs to electrical interface and respond to all PLC readouts. Must be able to work from schematics, sketches, written and verbal instructions and able to efficiently complete assignments under minimum supervision. Communicates process/mechanical abnormalities to Team Leader and Supervisor to facilitate corrections in a timely manner. Follows all Playtex safety/GMP policies and guidelines. Required to work overtime and alternate schedules as business needs dictate. Responsible to startup and shutdown functionsof all department equipment as dictated by production schedule. Maintain open communication with employees ensuring an environment of positive employee relations. Responsible for daily turnover communication between shifts with fellow Team Members and Management. Successful completion of OJT assessment is required. Quality
Control of materials as required (quarantine of materials as required). Perform other duties as directed by Team Leader and/or Supervisor. Must pass the Minimizer Qualification Test. Performs other duties as directed by Team Leader and/or Supervisor. Follows all Playtex safety/GMP policies and guidelines.
Required Skills and ExperienceGeneral Requirements:
Requires use of shop mathematics together with the use of complicated drawings, specifications, charts, table, various types of adjustable measuring instruments and the training generally applicable in a particular or specialized occupation. Equivalent to 1 to 3 years applied trades training. Occasional lifting or moving heavy weight material weighing over 60 lbs required, assisted lift over 50 lbs.
Working Relationships & EnvironmentAvailable shifts:
2nd - 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm
3rd - 11:00 pm to 7:00 am
Nights- 7:00 pm to 7:00 am (12 hours) 2/2/3 schedule
Hourly rate: $22.83 plus applicable shift premium
$1,000.00 sign-on bonus (payable after 90 day satisfactory introductory period)
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
