The Playtex strategic business unit, which is a division of Energizer Personal Care, is a leading manufacturer and distributor of a diverse portfolio of consumer and personal products. Playtex is focused on Feminine Care products, including Gentle Glide and Sport tampons; Infant Care products, including spill-proof cups, baby bottles, pacifiers, and Diaper Genie; Sun Care products, including Banana Boat, Hawaiian Tropic, and Alpha to Omega brands; and Skin Care products, including Wet Ones and Gloves


Position Summary

In this position, the Senior Warehouse Supervisor handles the day to day supervision of employees, processes, quality, housekeeping, and safety in the Warehouse and Recycle areas. The ideal person must be able to solve problems and make good decisions, exhibit company core values, and be a change agent for continuous improvement. Additionally, the Senior Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading a forklift safety program. (PIT)


Accountabilities

  • Directs day to day tasks to ensure maximum utilization of time, resources, equipment, and effort.

  • Responsible for the storage and accuracy of inventory.

  • Responsible for the smooth flow of materials from the outside warehouse to manufacturing.

  • Understands and directs safety, housekeeping, and environmental initiatives within the warehouse.

  • Handles routine issues with regards to employee relations:

  • Vacation approval

  • OT approval

  • E-time approval

  • Performance evaluations

  • Conflict management

  • Provide direction and guidance to hourly colleagues.

  • Provide direction and guidance to temporary colleagues.

  • Effectively communicate relevant issues to Manager.

  • Be a catalyst for continuously improving the overall effectiveness of the warehouse and recycle operations (Safety, Quality, Cost, 5S)

  • Make decisions based on achieving and maintaining department goals.

  • Carry out warehousing tasks within the parameters of the cost center budget.

  • Lead PIT program

  • Lead Recycling program


Specific Accountabilities

  • Number of employees - greater than 25

  • Three shifts, 24/7 in two buildings

  • Annual Budget - greater than 3MM

  • Daily waste - greater than 15 ton

  • Number of PIT operators - greater than 50


Required Skills and Experience

  • BA/BS degree - business or technical

  • Minimum 5-7 years warehousing/transportation experience

  • Minimum 3 years Supervisory experience preferred

  • Problem Solving/Analytical skills

  • Leadership skills, including effective conflict resolution skills

  • Ability to handle confidential information

  • Verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization


Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Able to drive a forklift

  • Working knowledge of SAP

  • Recycling experience

  • Pallet sourcing

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
